Coming at you en plein air, TJ and I sat down in his parent's backyard in Denver to discuss growing up together, philosophy, and of course, death and people's aversion to discussing it openly. And how we both love East High School more than words can express. Hey-lo-lo, hey-lo-lo, hey! |

Troy Walker, Denver native-son, lawyer, criminally-inept lover, amazing comedian, newest Denver addition to the New Faces at Montreal, sits down for the dining room table treatment to talk about quickly becoming one of the best comics in the city. And Prince. |

Coming at you life from the Denver Post Underground Music Showcase on South Broadway, I get weird at a tiki bar with some of my favorite local musicians including A. Tom Collins, Spells, In The Whale, Chella Negro and The Ned Garthe Explosion. |

I sit down with Illegal Pete's impressario Pete Turner to talk about how a struggling, hole-in-the-wall Mission-style burrito joint in Boulder turned into a Colorado empire. While never losing it's sense of cool. We also talk Steinbeck, Van Morrison phoning it in at Red Rocks and fatherhood. |
Tue, 24 June 2014
Only fitting that the first episode of the summer features the King of Summah, Howard Kremer! I toured with Howard across the country on the Road to Oddball tour and somewhere along the way we broke out the podcasting gadgetry in a hotel room to talk Austin Stories, Dragon Boy Suede and why we are both about ready to stay in one place for awhile. Have a summah! |

Coming at you live from the Crom Comedy Festival in lovely Omaha, Nebraska I welcome Ben Kronberg, Ian Douglas Terry, Chris Charpentier, Dave Ross and Rory Scovel to the podcast. Feats of strength ensue. |

National Poetry Slam Champion, Tedx Speaker, Nuyorican Poets Cafe Grand Slam Champion and Queen City of the Plains alleyway-wander Ken Arkind stopped by My Dining Room Table to talk about how a poet's life and a comic's life aren't all that different, and how he and I are both going to wind up old men, lamenting our lost Denver of yore. The parts we were born to play. Denver is lonesome for her heroes. Less so with Ken Arkind around. |
Wed, 14 May 2014
Tommy Johnagin got the dining room table treatment on the balcony of the Comedy Works condo in scenic downtown Denver. We talked Letterman, babies and why Ken Griffey Jr. is the man. |

Emily Heller came by My Dining Room Table! We talked about Friday Night Lights! Then I asked her a bunch of questions and tried to make her answer on behalf of all female comedians. She did so politely and then schooled me on why it's annoying to always have to do exactly that. Then she showed me Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton videos! And we both agreed that their chemistry was something you cannot fake. |
